Important Notes & Requirements

4×4 Vehicle or Equivalent Required: The road to the retreat is rugged. A four-wheel-drive car, moped, or 4WD quad bike is necessary to access the property.

Free Parking: Parking is available with your car.

Rainforest Living: Expect to see monkeys, birds, butterflies, and other wildlife, as well as occasional bugs or critters—at times even inside the bungalow. Our staff is always available to assist with any unwelcome visitors.

15 – 20 Minutes to Town/Beaches: The retreat offers peaceful seclusion in nature, but Puerto Viejo and the beaches are just a 15 – 20-minute drive away.

Walking Ability: The bungalows are located 50m to 150m from the parking area and require walking on uneven terrain and climbing stairs. Guests should be fit enough to manage this.

No Kitchen: This bungalow does not include kitchen amenities. But breakfast is included.

Natural Cooling Design: No air conditioning—screens instead of windows encourage airflow, and the rainforest’s natural climate is about 10°F cooler than nearby Puerto Viejo.
